PHARMD LIVE | CUSTOMER INFORMATION SECURITY

Customer Information Security Responsibilities

Working together to protect information and support secure, reliable care services.

Our shared commitment

Protecting patient and business information is a shared responsibility. PharmD Live works with its healthcare partners to maintain appropriate safeguards, support effective care coordination, and promote secure day-to-day operations. Clear responsibilities help both organizations prevent avoidable risks and respond quickly when concerns arise.

What PharmD Live is responsible for

  • Protecting information and systems within our operational control using appropriate administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards.
  • Limiting access to authorized personnel based on their assigned responsibilities and providing applicable privacy and security training.
  • Using approved channels and procedures to handle, transmit, and store confidential information and electronic protected health information (ePHI).
  • Managing service providers and reporting relevant security or privacy concerns as required by applicable agreements and law.

What we ask of our customers

  • Designate appropriate contacts for operational coordination, privacy and security questions, and important service communications.
  • Provide accurate and timely information needed for agreed services through approved, secure methods.
  • Authorize and manage access to customer-controlled systems, including electronic health records, and promptly notify PharmD Live when access needs change.
  • Protect customer-controlled accounts, devices, networks, and credentials, including use of appropriate authentication and access safeguards.
  • Promptly communicate suspected security incidents, unusual access, privacy concerns, or changes to workflows that may affect shared information.

Working together

Both organizations should communicate promptly, coordinate access and workflow changes, and cooperate when investigating or resolving a potential security issue. Each party remains responsible for the systems, personnel, and information under its control, consistent with its agreements and applicable requirements.
